The Business Link's Export Link hosted its first and very successful conference, bringing together over 125 Alberta businesses and service providers to Edmonton to learn about exporting basics to key issues facing exporters in today's international marketplace.

Delegates gained practical knowledge and advice from successful exporters and experts in the field to help improve their export initiatives. The comments received were overwhelmingly positive and we look forward to possibly holding the event again next year!

The conference was sponsored by a cross-section of private sector donations, and support from Trade Team Alberta and Team Canada Inc.

This successful event is being shared as a "best practice" with the other regional trade networks across the country. Initiatives such as these diversify the export base of the province and the country, assist in improving the competitiveness of Canadian exporters, and lay the basis for stronger growth in the economy.
