Innovative Manufacturing Works

Innovative Manufacturing Works, or IMW as it's commonly known, is an initiative to create awareness about manufacturing innovations in Alberta and to heighten awareness of the importance of manufacturing to the overall Alberta economy.  It is also designed to provide educational opportunities for manufacturers.

From its humble beginnings as Innovative Manufacturing Week in 2003, and as a result of industry’s feedback and the Alberta government’s commitment to manufacturing as a value-adding sector, IMW evolved into Innovative Manufacturing Works and continues providing services and information to manufacturers on an ongoing basis throughout the year.

IMW consists of plant tours, manufacturing-focused events, news stories and a dynamic website featuring helpful links for manufacturers, a comprehensive event calendar and Alberta manufacturing success profiles.
