Immigration to Canada falls under federal jurisdiction, and it is governed by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA). The act is administered by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC). CIC has information for people who would like to immigrate to, visit, study or work in Canada. There is also information and advice to help newcomers after they arrive.
Non-Canadians who want to work in Canada can apply for either:
- Permanent Residence
- Temporary Entry
