Employer eligibility

Under the International Graduate category, an Employer and Worker Application for a Skilled Occupation (ABPNP 005) is required to select an International Graduate to be considered for a nomination to become a permanent resident. The application will be considered only if the offer of employment:

  • Is for permanent, full-time employment in Alberta and, in accordance with the National Occupational Classification (NOC) Code, meets one of the following skill levels:
     
    • 0: Management Occupations
    • A: Occupations usually require university education
    • B: Occupations usually require college education or trade certification
       
  • Meets provincial employment and wage standards.
     
  • Does not conflict with existing collective bargaining agreements.
     
  • Is made to an individual who meets the required qualifications for the position.
