Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP)

Family stream

The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) introduced the Family Stream on June 19, 2008. Applications are currently being accepted for this stream.

A number of frequently asked questions (FAQs) about the new Family Stream are available. Sponsors and Candidates should read through these questions prior to submitting an application to the AINP.

The AINP will be hosting information sessions for Albertans with family members abroad who may wish to sponsor their family members under this stream. Information sessions for September 2008 are now full.  Please continue to visit this site for future information session dates.

About the Family Stream

In order to facilitate a process for Alberta families who wish to encourage family members overseas to immigrate to the province to participate in Alberta’s labour market, the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) will consider applications under the Family Stream. This new stream will help Alberta meet its workforce needs while creating more diverse and welcoming communities for all our families.
