Help for Employers

The Labour Attraction and Industry Competitiveness Branch of Alberta Employment and Immigration (E&I) works in cooperation with Alberta businesses and industry to help promote Alberta as the best place to live and work. We support Alberta employers in their efforts to attract, recruit and retain skilled foreign workers to fill labour shortages.

We provide information, education, and guidance to interested Alberta employers as well as foreign workers and prospective workers in the process of attraction, recruitment and retention of foreign workers. Some of our initiatives in supporting employers are: the Jobs in Alberta website, organizing marketing and recruitment activities around the world, organizing and delivering How to Hire Foreign Workers seminars across the province, providing information through the Alberta Foreign Worker Hotline and assisting employers by providing links to other useful sources of information.
