- ATA Carnets
The ATA Carnet is an international Customs document. It is used for temporary importation of certain goods into a country without having to engage in the Customs formalities usually required, or having to pay duty or value-added taxes on the goods.
Another method to verify temporary exportation of goods into the U.S. (samples, prototypes, tools of the trade, etc.) either manufactured in Canada or lawfully imported into Canada intended for return is the Canada Customs Y38, which can be obtained at the airport before you depart.
