Alberta’s air transportation network
Alberta has a network of 160 regional, community and international airports. The province is home to several air carriers, including Alberta-based WestJet, aerial work, air taxi, commuter, airline and special flight operations. These carriers have a positive impact on Albertans' quality of life and the province's vibrant economy.
Alberta also has ambulance, forest fire suppression, agriculture crop spraying, aerial mapping and remote sensing, corporate aviation, recreational flying and flying education services.

Aviation Alberta
Since 2004, Aviation Alberta (AvAB) has acted as a membership association and advocate for the aerospace, airport and aircraft operations, and aviation heritage sectors of Alberta's aviation industry.

Calgary International Airport
Canada's third busiest airport, the Calgary International Airport offers service to nearly 60 destinations. In a 2004 worldwide survey, it ranked highest in passenger satisfaction among small airports.
The Calgary International Airport is also a major cargo hub. It has scheduled cargo service to Europe and the Orient and was named "North American Cargo Airport of the Year" in 2002 by Air Cargo News. Calgary International Airport has been chosen to host the International Air Cargo Association's (TIACA) Air Cargo Forum in 2006.

Edmonton International Airport
Canada's second largest airport in terms of land mass and its most northerly 24-hour international airport, Edmonton International Airport provides service to every major Canadian city on a daily basis and service to eight U.S. hubs.
Training
Alberta's wide-open, bright blue skies make the province a great place to learn to fly. The province has more than 20 flight schools offering private and commercial training.
