In 2007, the average individual income in the Wood Buffalo Region was $71,985, an 11.9% increase from 2006, and 69.1% above the provincial average of $42,570 in 2007.  In the same year, average couple income1 in the Wood Buffalo Region was $163,895, an 11% increase from the year before, and 30.6% above the provincial average of $125,485 in 2007.

The percentage of taxfilers that reported an individual gross income over $100,000 was 29%, while 75.1% of taxfilers identified as couples reported an income of over $100,000.
