In 2009 Palliser Region had 38 accommodation properties with a total of 2,320 rooms, accounting for 3.7% of available rooms in Alberta. The greatest demand for rooms came from business travelers at 32.9%, followed by industrial crews (27.4%). The average occupancy rate in the region was 57.8%, compared to the provincial average of 58.6%. The average room rate was $92.70, which was 17.4% below the provincial average of $112.19.
