Alberta Health Industry Association (AHIA)
The diverse membership of AHIA is involved in and actively supportive of opportunities for advancing the impact of the health care industry on the Alberta economy.
BioAlberta is the central voice for biotechnology in Alberta, proactively facilitating the growth of Alberta's biotechnology industry by connecting stakeholders across Alberta’s life sciences sector and actively contributing to the success of individual companies.
BioAlberta focuses its activities in seven key areas:
- facilitating access to human resources
- government advocacy
- increasing industry access to financing
- industry promotion
- member mentoring and education
- networking
- new industry development
Clinexus is one of four not-for-profit product commercialization centres funded by the Government of Alberta with the mandate to expand key technology sectors in Alberta. Clinexus works exclusively with early-stage companies who are developing and selling a wide range of health and medical technologies at home and abroad. Whether it's hardware or software, they work with companies to advance their offerings across the full spectrum of healthcare: from wellness and prevention, through primary and acute care all the way to palliative care. In addition, Clinexus provides support in the non-traditional forms of healthcare ranging from allied health to dental and from mental health to veterinarian care.
