• Alberta Environment: Learn about provincial initiatives to exercise environmentally responsible energy resource development.

• Alberta Geological Survey (AGS): The Alberta Geological Survey (AGS) researches and delivers geological knowledge about Alberta land and natural resources through various programs. The AGS Resource Geology program is focused on advising Alberta government agencies about natural resources.

• Alberta's Oil Sands: Combined website with information from the provincial departments of Energy, Environment and Sustainable Resource Development.  Provides easy access to research and technology, consultations and development of oil sands in Alberta over the long term.

• Alberta Sustainable Resource Development (SRD): Find out about the role SRD plays in working towards fiscally, environmentally and socially responsible natural energy resource management in Alberta.

• Canadian Society for Unconventional Gas (CSUG): CSUG was formed to foster information sharing about unconventional gas among industry, government, regulators and public stakeholders. The CSUG website contains information on many different types of unconventional gas resources found in Canada, including coal bed methane.

• Energy Resources Conservation Board: Energy Resources Conservation Board produces a report ST 98: Alberta’s Energy Reserves and Supply/Demand Outlook. This annual report includes:
  • estimates of reserves for crude bitumen, crude oil, conventional natural gas, coalbed methane, natural gas liquids, coal, and sulphur for the province of Alberta
  • supply and demand forecasts for Alberta’s energy resources

• Innovative Canadian Oil Sands Manufacturing Opportunities (iCOSMO): A web portal by Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters that matches manufacturers with Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers in Alberta.

• National Buyer Seller Forum: The annual National Buyer/Seller Forum is a joint government/industry supply chain development initiative. Energy producers, manufacturers and suppliers from across Canada and the globe meet at the forum to generate new business and share best practices.

• Natural Resources Canada (NRCan): Learn about NRCan and the role it plays in encouraging the sustainable development of Canada's natural resources.

• Oil Sands Secretariat (OSS): The Oil Sands Sustainable Development Secretariat was created by the Government of Alberta in the summer of 2007 to address rapid growth issues in the oil sands regions of Alberta.
