  • The Energy Resources Conservation Board produces the ST 98: Alberta’s Energy Reserves and Supply/Demand Outlook
    This annual report includes:
    • Estimates of reserves for crude bitumen, crude oil, conventional natural gas, coalbed methane, Natural gas liquids, coal, and sulphur for the province of Alberta
    • Supply and demand forecasts for Alberta’s energy resources
    • Information on energy prices and provincial economic performance
    • Figures and charts displaying statistics and trends
  • Land-use Framework: The Land-use Framework was developed by the government in December of 2008 to improve land-use decision making in Alberta and support sustainable resource development in Alberta.

  • Oil Sands Consultations Advisory Group: This Alberta Government initiative was formed in January 2006 to develop revised plans for consulting on the policy principles for Alberta's oil sands area in relation to oil sands development and environmental management. In July 2007, the committee completed its Multi-stakeholder Committee (MSC) Final Report and Aboriginal Consultation Final Report. The committee's recommendations also led to the foundation of the Oil Sands Sustainable Development Secretariat.

  • Energy Resources Conservation Board (ERCB): Alberta Energy and Conservation Board website provides access to information including, acts and regulations, current stock, existing and planned production and additional sources.
  • Supply/Demand Outlook : This annual report outlines the current status of Alberta's various energy reserves, and provides supply and demand forecasts for Alberta's energy resources.
  • Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP): CAPP is a Canada-wide association of petroleum producing companies dedicated to fostering growth in Canada's upstream oil and gas industry. The CAPP website has many online resources useful to petroleum sector investors.
  • Industry Statistics: Provides statistics and data for the Oil and Gas Industry in Canada.
