  • Business, Labour and Alberta Goverment Launch Construction Careers Promotion Campaign through new Trade-Up Alberta website (Trade Up, Feb. 27, 2012). Employer and labour organizations from across Alberta’s construction industry, with help from the provincial government, are taking concrete measures to proactively address anticipated shortages of skilled workers. This innovative cross-industry collaborative partnership has resulted in a new Trade-Up Alberta (www.TradeUpAlberta.com) website being activated to provide young Albertans, their parents and educators with information on the benefits and opportunities they can expect from a career in the construction industry.

  • New Industry Job Board Launched on Careers in Oil and Gas Website (Petroleum Human Resources Council of Canada, Feb. 24, 2012). The Petroleum HR Council has officially launched our new industry job board on Careersinoilandgas.com, offering another solution to connect industry with labour supply. Funded by the Government of Alberta, the job board allows job seekers to search for petroleum industry jobs in Canada as well as continue to access comprehensive information about the industry and its opportunities, all in one easy-to-navigate website.
